International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft 2026)

On April 7, Moju Zhao and Yita Wang attended the 9th IEEE International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft 2026) Workshop Fast and impulsive robots enabled by soft actuators and mechanisms in Kanazawa.

Moju gave a presentation introducing the research activities of our lab. His talk featured our recent developments in aerial robots, as well as ongoing research in soft robotics, including fish-inspired robot, soft articulated flying robots, and soft propulsion robots.

Yita also delivered a teaser talk introducing his research on “Design, Modeling, and Control of a Spring-Based Biomimetic Fish Robot for Explosive Swimming.” His work focuses on enabling explosive swimming by incorporating a spring-based energy-storage mechanism to drive the fishtail.

In the subsequent poster session, Yita further discussed his work with the fellow researchers and engaged in valuable academic exchanges.
